A [Descriptor] is a descriptive word or phrase preceding an item entry, contained within the cornered brackets "[" and "]" to help you identify any extra information pertaining to the item. A list of current [Descriptor]s is found below.
There is no [Decriptor] before the item(s) I am looking at?
The vast majority of entries at the Phoenix Forge have no [Descriptor]. These items are a part of what is known as a the "Phoenix Forge Custom Order System" of which the Phoenix Forge is well-known for delivering to its customers. To read how the Phoenix Forge Custom Order System works, there is a [Descriptor] heading for it below under the heading of [Custom].
[Pre]
[Pre] order items can be found at the top of the category list, and within the appropriate category to which they belong. If you know of an item that hasn't been released yet, look for it in the appropriate category heading. [Pre] order items are released on a specific day (or month) that will be listed in the item’s [Descriptor]. You can order them before the release date to reserve your items, and then the Forge will order them and send them to you by that release date. If your order contains multiple release dates, you will receive your order by the date of the last release to avoid multiple postage charges. If a [Pre] order date becomes too close to the relase date to garantee delivery by that date, its [Descriptor] may change to [Custom], making it a [Custom] order. Once the release date has arrived, the [Descriptor] will be removed and the item will often become part of the standard [Custom] order system, and any in-stock items will move to the [Stock] orders section and have [Stock] attached at the front to show they are physically in stock.
[Bargain Box]
[Bargain Box] items have been reduced in price by a large amount and placed in a special box. All [Bargain Box] items are in stock, and simply become a part of your normal order.
[Custom]
This is the standard system for ordering from the Phoenix Forge, as it offers the broadest range to you. [Custom] order items are for you to pick and choose (in most cases) which items you want from the entire range of a game system or product range. [Custom] items are not in physical stock – once the order is complete and payed for, the Phoenix Forge will obtain your order from the supplier, whether from Australia or internationally, and send it on to you when it arrives (if you want to know how long an item may take to get from the supplier, just contact info@phoenixforge.com.au). Using this method, you may order as many of each item as you want. If you have [Custom] order items in your order, the entire order will be posted to you once all parts of it are together for packaging and sending. This extra time may add as little as 3 working days to the overall postage time, but always allow for longer (perhaps a week or more), and longer if you know that the items must come from overseas. A [Custom] order item with [Custom] as its [Descriptor] is most likely a [Pre] order that has become very close to the release date (see [Pre] order above).
Note: If you do not see a Games Workshop item you are after, please check the [Direct Order] sections in the Special Orders category, as it may be on a different Games Workshop order list. If you still can’t find what you are looking for, please email info@phoenixforge.com.au to let us know and then we will see if the item is obtainable for you.
[GWX]
[GWX] items are special Games Workshop items based on a different ordering list and system to the standard range of Games Workshop products - this range of products has been called "Direct Order" and "Available to Order" in its time, but is commonly known as the "Extended Range." [GWX] includes rare items, and also Games Workshop Specialist Games. [GWX] items are not in physical stock. The [GWX] Games Workshop Specialist Games and [GWX] Extended Range section does not show available items, but instead lists Credits that you can purchase in demoninations of Australian Dollars and Cents. There is no true list of [GWX] items, and there can be over 5000 products. There may be additional waiting time for a [GWX Orders], as the items must arrive from the Games Workshop warehouse. This extra time may add as little as 3 working days to the overall postage time, but is usually longer as Games Workshop want a minimum amount of [GWX] Order items before the Phoenix Forge can be obtained them from the Games Workshop warehouse.
Note: To find out how much you must pay, please email info@phoenixforge.com.au to let us know whih items you are after. The Phoenix Forge will write back to you with the amount of appropriate [GWX] Credits you must purchase. When you have successfully bought the appropriate [GWX] Credit, the Phoenix Forge can begin the process of obtaining the [GWX] items from Games Workshop on your behalf.
[Stock] Orders
[Stock] items are physically in stock at the Phoenix Forge. [Stock] items become a part of your normal order. Purchasing only [Stock] items is the quickest method for getting your order, but doesn't offer the entire availability of a range or the multiple quantity that [Custom] order allow you.
